I am tired of pretending America has a collection of unrelated problems.
It doesn't.
We have one problem expressing itself through a thousand symptoms.
Crime.
Loneliness.
Pornography.
Political corruption.
Fatherlessness.
Suicide.
Outsourcing.
Fertility collapse.
Dating apps.
Mass immigration.
Addiction.
Institutional distrust.
Schools producing graduates who hate their inheritance.
Churches terrified of offending people who already despise them.
Men ashamed of masculinity.
Women taught femininity is embarrassing.
Corporations with more loyalty to quarterly earnings than the country that built them.
Politicians who campaign like revolutionaries and govern like frightened substitute teachers.
Everybody has an explanation.
Capitalism.
Racism.
Patriarchy.
Socialism.
Boomers.
Zoomers.
Men.
Women.
Religion.
Lack of religion.
Some asshole will produce a forty-seven-page PowerPoint explaining how everything would be fixed if marginal tax rates moved three percent.
I think the problem is simpler.
We put everything in the wrong fucking order.
A civilization has a hierarchy.
Mine is:
God.
The Nation.
Society.
The Family.
The Individual.
In that order.
Modern liberal society inverted it.
The individual became sovereign.
His desires became rights.
His discomfort became oppression.
His appetites became identity.
The family became optional.
Society became a marketplace.
The nation became an administrative district.
God became a private hobby you were permitted to practice so long as He never said anything inconvenient.
And somehow people are surprised that the result is atomized, anxious, sterile, angry, addicted and spiritually fucking exhausted.
I am not.
We built civilization upside down.
My political project is to turn it right-side up.
Not gently enough that nothing changes.
Not violently enough that civilization ceases to exist.
But seriously enough that when the work is finished, the country is actually different.
I. GOD
Everything begins with God because everything has to answer to something.
The modern world likes pretending it escaped this problem.
It didn't.
Take God away and something else climbs onto the throne.
The state.
The market.
Race.
Class.
Sex.
Identity.
The self.
Human beings worship.
Our secular age did not abolish religion.
It diversified the product line.
Truth Is Not Democratic
I believe truth exists independently of me.
That already puts me at war with half of modern culture.
Reality does not care about my feelings.
It does not care about yours.
It does not care about the results of an election.
It does not care how many people retweet something.
It does not care whether acknowledging it is socially convenient.
Truth is not a popularity contest.
If ten million people believe bullshit, it becomes popular bullshit.
Nothing more.
This is why I reject the idea that social consensus establishes morality.
People once reached consensus about slavery.
Eugenics.
Segregation.
Imperial conquest.
Countless atrocities.
Consensus is evidence of agreement.
It is not evidence of righteousness.
If morality comes only from humans, then human beings can rewrite it whenever enough powerful humans agree.
I reject that.
Human life possesses value because human value precedes government.
The state does not create human dignity.
It recognizes something that already exists.
Otherwise the state that grants dignity can revoke it.
And history has repeatedly demonstrated that governments are remarkably creative when looking for reasons to do exactly that.
God Is Not An Emotional-Support Animal
Modern Christianity has spent decades advertising God like He is a therapist who specializes in affirming whatever decision you already made.
God loves you.
Yes.
God forgives.
Yes.
God is merciful.
Yes.
Read the rest of the fucking book.
The God I worship judges.
Commands.
Punishes.
Demands repentance.
Destroys evil.
Hates sin.
Expects obedience.
Christianity contains extraordinary mercy precisely because Christianity takes evil seriously enough for mercy to mean something.
Forgiveness without wrongdoing is meaningless.
Repentance without standards is meaningless.
Grace without judgment is cheap sentimentality wearing a cross.
I think Western Christianity became terrified of God's severity because severity makes people uncomfortable.
Good.
Some things should make us uncomfortable.
The God of Scripture is not cruel.
But neither is He tame.
And I am finished with a Christianity that apologizes for the parts of God modern people find impolite.
Christianity Is Not Merely Private
I reject one of the central assumptions of modern secular politics:
that Christianity may guide how I pray but should politely disappear the instant I enter public life.
No.
If Christianity is true, it is true inside a church.
It is also true in Congress.
In a courtroom.
Inside a marriage.
Inside a school.
Inside a business.
Inside a voting booth.
Truth does not stop being true when I leave my living room.
That does not mean I think government can force faith.
It cannot.
Put a gun to someone's head and make him recite the Creed and you have not created a Christian.
You created a terrified liar.
Faith requires belief.
Belief cannot be legislated.
But civilization can absolutely be structured around moral assumptions derived from Christianity.
Every civilization is structured around moral assumptions.
Secular liberalism does this constantly while pretending it is the absence of ideology.
Bullshit.
Every school teaches values.
Every legal system defines acceptable conduct.
Every culture has sacred principles.
Every culture has taboos.
Every culture teaches its children what deserves admiration and what deserves shame.
The argument is not whether children will be formed.
The argument is who forms them and toward what.
I want Christianity restored as the dominant moral vocabulary of American civilization.
Not the only religion legally permitted.
Not forced church attendance.
Not inquisitors checking your baptism papers.
A civilization confident enough to say:
this country emerged from a predominantly Christian moral tradition;
that tradition gave us things worth preserving;
and we are no longer going to behave as though believing that requires an apology.
Call that indoctrination.
Fine.
Every society indoctrinates.
I would rather teach children that they inherit duties, dignity, truth and moral responsibility than teach them that civilization is an embarrassing accident and their highest purpose is self-expression.
Providence Does Not Mean Passivity
I believe God is sovereign.
That does not mean Christians sit on their asses waiting for angels to fix Congress.
The Body of Christ is made of people.
People act.
People build.
People vote.
People teach.
People govern.
People fight evil.
People repair what others destroyed.
Saying “God is in control” while refusing to do anything is not faith.
Sometimes it is cowardice with theological branding.
If God gives you hands, use them.
II. THE NATION
After God comes the nation.
That sentence will horrify cosmopolitans because they have spent decades pretending nations are arbitrary lines surrounding tax jurisdictions.
They aren't.
A nation is a living inheritance.
The dead built it.
The living maintain it.
The unborn inherit whatever remains.
America is not merely land.
It is memory.
Language.
Law.
Custom.
Symbols.
Institutions.
Stories.
Sacrifice.
Borders.
A constitutional tradition.
Shared victories.
Shared crimes.
Shared expectations about what Americans owe one another.
A country unable to answer “Who are we?” eventually stops being a country in any meaningful sense.
It becomes an economy with an anthem.
America Is Worth Preserving
I reject two equally stupid historical myths.
The first says America has never done anything wrong.
The second says America is uniquely evil.
One is propaganda for children.
The other is propaganda for graduate students.
America has committed sins.
Slavery.
Segregation.
Broken treaties.
Abuses of state power.
Wars worth questioning.
Political corruption.
Fine.
Tell the truth.
Then tell the rest.
America also produced an extraordinary constitutional experiment.
Expanded political participation across generations.
Generated staggering scientific and technological achievements.
Defeated monstrous enemies.
Produced immense prosperity.
Created institutions people around the world still try to enter.
Both stories are true.
Patriotism does not require lying.
It requires inheritance.
You receive what your ancestors built.
You preserve what was good.
You repent of what was evil.
You repair what they failed to repair.
Then you hand the country forward in better condition.
That is patriotism.
Not masturbation over the flag.
Not self-hatred masquerading as historical sophistication.
A Nation Has The Right To Continue Existing
This is where modern liberalism becomes bizarre.
Every culture on Earth is apparently allowed to value its continuity except Western ones.
Everyone else may have heritage.
Everyone else may have borders.
Everyone else may want their language and traditions preserved.
The instant an American says, “I would like America to remain recognizably American,” half the commentariat behaves like somebody discovered Hitler's diary under his mattress.
Get over it.
A nation has a legitimate interest in preserving continuity.
That includes borders.
Assimilation.
Civic identity.
Demographic stability.
Economic security.
And confidence in its own right to exist.
Immigration Serves The Nation
I am not against immigration.
I am against treating immigration as a humanitarian entitlement detached from national interest.
America should determine:
how many people enter;
who enters;
whether they can contribute;
whether integration is realistic;
whether infrastructure can sustain it;
whether labor markets can absorb it;
and whether the culture can integrate them without destroying the social trust that makes a high-functioning country possible.
That is not hatred.
That is government doing its fucking job.
If you come here legally and become American, welcome.
Bring your recipes.
Bring your music.
Bring your weird family traditions.
I don't care.
But this isn't a hotel.
Assimilate.
Learn English.
Understand the Constitution.
Know the history.
Place American civic loyalty above foreign political or religious allegiance.
Become part of the country instead of demanding the country indefinitely reorganize itself around you.
Cultural Compatibility Is Real
I reject the fashionable lie that every ideology is equally compatible with every political system.
Beliefs matter.
Cultures matter.
Religion matters.
A worldview that recognizes constitutional government, equal citizenship and civil law can integrate into America far more easily than one demanding religious law supersede the Constitution.
That should be obvious.
It apparently isn't.
I am particularly hostile to ideologies that demand submission of American civil society to religious or political systems fundamentally incompatible with our constitutional order.
That does not mean every individual associated with a religion is identical.
Individuals deserve individual judgment.
But pretending ideas have no consequences because discussing cultural incompatibility makes polite people nervous is cowardice.
Citizenship Is Not A Participation Trophy
Citizenship should mean something.
Know the country.
Know the Constitution.
Know the government's basic structure.
Know enough history that politicians cannot tell you complete bullshit and receive applause.
Contribute.
Participate.
Take citizenship seriously.
I reject the idea that political membership consists entirely of rights while requiring virtually nothing from the citizen.
Rights and duties belong together.
III. POLITICAL POWER
Here is where I stop sounding like a normal Republican.
Good.
Normal Republican politics has not exactly been producing stunning results.
I do not believe democracy is sacred.
I believe democracy is useful.
There is a difference.
Democracy Is A Mechanism
Politics is civilization's substitute for warfare.
People disagree about serious things.
Who controls government?
What gets taught?
What gets punished?
What behavior is permitted?
Who pays taxes?
What morality governs public life?
Historically, when groups could not settle those questions politically, they often settled them violently.
So we created:
constitutions;
elections;
courts;
legislatures;
political parties;
due process.
Votes instead of bullets.
Arguments instead of blood.
That is one of civilization's greatest achievements.
But somewhere along the way we turned democracy from a mechanism into a religion.
One person, one vote became untouchable even when enormous numbers of voters cannot explain the offices they are voting for.
I think that deserves examination.
No, I Do Not Believe Everyone Is Equally Qualified To Govern
Equal human dignity does not equal equal political competence.
There.
Put that sentence on the fucking poster.
If you would not let an untrained person perform surgery, fly an airliner or design a nuclear reactor, I do not understand why it is heresy to suggest that influencing national policy might require basic knowledge.
Government controls:
war;
criminal justice;
taxation;
currency;
schools;
borders;
regulation;
civil rights;
infrastructure.
I think voters should understand the machinery they are helping control.
I have therefore considered systems where political participation is conditioned partly upon competence.
Call it epistocracy.
Call it elitist.
Call it whatever helps you sleep.
The principle is straightforward:
political power should not be completely detached from political understanding.
Do I understand the danger?
Absolutely.
Who writes the test?
Who defines knowledge?
Who stops the ruling class from designing qualifications that conveniently exclude its enemies?
Those objections are serious.
Anyone designing such a system would need extraordinary transparency, objective standards, judicial review and safeguards against discrimination.
But I refuse to pretend the risks automatically invalidate the underlying question.
Every system can be corrupted.
Including ours.
I Believe In Hierarchy
People differ.
Intelligence.
Ability.
Temperament.
Strength.
Discipline.
Creativity.
Leadership.
Empathy.
Mechanical aptitude.
Academic aptitude.
Pretending people are interchangeable does not elevate them.
It lies to them.
I have used the phrase social eugenics because I believe society should consciously recognize differences in aptitude and direct education and responsibility accordingly.
No, I am not talking about forced sterilization.
No, I am not talking about breeding programs.
I mean social selection.
Find ability.
Develop it.
Stop shoving everybody through identical pipelines because admitting variation offends egalitarian theology.
The kid capable of advanced physics should have that ability cultivated.
The kid gifted with machines should not be told he failed because he became a master electrician instead of obtaining a useless bachelor's degree.
Equal dignity.
Different capacity.
Different roles.
That is not oppression.
That is reality.
I Am Willing To Consider Temporary Authoritarianism
There is the sentence people really hate.
Fine.
Let's stop dancing around it.
I believe there are circumstances where a society becomes institutionally corrupted enough that ordinary procedural tinkering cannot repair it.
If schools, bureaucracies, corporations, media institutions and political structures become mutually reinforcing systems protecting dysfunction, eventually reconstruction may require unusually concentrated political authority.
I would rather avoid that.
I would prefer reform through normal constitutional politics.
But I am not going to pretend preserving every existing institution is more sacred than preserving the civilization those institutions were supposed to serve.
So yes:
I can imagine a transitional government far more forceful than contemporary liberal sensibilities would tolerate.
A government willing to:
dismantle corrupt institutional arrangements;
break entrenched monopolies of cultural power;
rewrite failed systems;
rebuild education;
enforce national priorities;
and spend a generation deliberately creating conditions for a healthier society.
Call that authoritarian.
I probably will too.
The label matters less than the structure.
But understand the danger.
Temporary authoritarianism has a nasty historical habit of forgetting the word temporary.
That problem is real.
If extraordinary authority ever becomes necessary, it needs constitutional restraints, courts, defined limits, predetermined transfer mechanisms and institutions powerful enough to force the government to relinquish emergency powers.
Anyone asking for unlimited authority because “our side is good” is a fucking idiot.
Your side will not always control it.
Never construct a political weapon you would call tyranny the instant your enemy inherited it.
Accelerationism
I do not want collapse.
Anyone who genuinely wants national collapse has watched too many fucking edits set to phonk music.
Collapse means:
hospitals without medicine;
refrigeration failing;
food distribution breaking;
power disappearing;
ordinary families getting crushed;
the poor suffering first and worst.
There is nothing glorious about it.
But I understand accelerationist logic.
Systems often refuse serious reform until dysfunction becomes intolerable.
People will live inside slow decay for decades because slow decay is comfortable enough.
Then something breaks.
Trust disappears.
Institutions lose legitimacy.
The population stops believing incremental reform will work.
Ideas considered radical five years earlier suddenly become politically possible.
If America can reconstruct itself without reaching that point, excellent.
That is preferable.
I am simply no longer convinced it will.
My accelerationism is reluctant.
I do not want the fire.
I increasingly suspect people will not rebuild until they smell smoke.
The Constitution
Despite all this, I do not want to discard the Constitution.
Quite the opposite.
The core architecture matters precisely because I distrust power.
Federalism.
Separated branches.
Due process.
Speech.
Religious liberty.
The Second Amendment.
Limits on government.
Judicial review.
Those are not inconvenient obstacles.
They are safeguards against the same political power I sometimes argue should be stronger.
That tension is deliberate.
I want greater governmental capacity inside stronger constitutional boundaries.
The state should be capable of acting decisively where it possesses legitimate authority.
It should simultaneously encounter a brick fucking wall when it exceeds that authority.
Politics Is Conflict
I have little patience for the idea that politics should make everyone feel heard and comfortable.
Politics is conflict managed without warfare.
That means sometimes you lose friends.
Sometimes people hate you.
Sometimes you get called racist.
Sexist.
Fascist.
Bigot.
Whatever vocabulary the cultural priesthood is using this month.
Maybe the accusation is right.
Examine yourself.
But the existence of outrage proves nothing.
If your political principles disappear the instant defending them costs you something, they were never principles.
They were preferences.
Men in particular need to relearn this.
Being good and being agreeable are not the same thing.
Sometimes doing what you believe is right means saying no while everyone around you gets pissed.
Grow a spine.
IV. JUSTICE AND FORCE
I do not believe violence is automatically evil.
I believe unjust violence is evil.
That distinction matters.
The individual does not possess unlimited authority to punish enemies.
The state possesses legitimate coercive authority under law.
That means police.
Prisons.
Military force.
And, in my worldview, capital punishment.
Some Crimes Deserve Death
I support the death penalty for murder.
I support it for rape where guilt meets an extremely high evidentiary standard.
And I can imagine forms of extraordinarily severe political corruption or treasonous conduct deserving the maximum penalty where law clearly establishes it in advance.
That makes people uncomfortable.
So does murder.
Trials matter.
Evidence matters.
Defense counsel matters.
Appeals matter.
Due process matters.
I do not want mobs.
I do not want summary executions.
I do not want some president scribbling enemies onto a fucking list.
I want law.
Then judgment.
Mercy has meaning only when punishment is deserved.
And a civilization that refuses to impose serious consequences on predators often ends up imposing the consequences on victims instead.
I Am Angry
My politics are not entirely academic.
I have watched events convince me that the culture-war language of “we're all basically trying to achieve the same thing” is sometimes bullshit.
There are ideological movements that want a fundamentally different civilization than I do.
Pretending otherwise does not create unity.
It creates strategic stupidity.
There was a point when I believed endless dialogue could solve almost everything.
I still value dialogue.
I still prefer persuasion.
I still prefer elections.
But there are moments that change your relationship with politics.
Moments when something happens and you realize a significant number of people do not merely disagree with you.
They despise what you value.
Maybe they think you deserve exactly the same.
Fine.
Then let's stop pretending politics is a fucking group hug.
I do not want vigilante violence.
I want political victory.
I want lawful institutional power.
I want people who share my worldview to organize, vote, campaign, build organizations, enter institutions and govern.
If the opposition wants to defeat us politically, they should attempt the same.
That is still infinitely preferable to bullets.
But I am finished confusing peace with surrender.
V. THE ECONOMY SERVES THE NATION
Capitalism is useful.
Capitalism is not God.
This will upset libertarians.
They'll survive.
I believe in property.
Markets.
Entrepreneurship.
Investment.
Profit.
Competition.
Private business.
What I reject is the idea that whatever maximizes profit automatically becomes morally legitimate.
A corporation operates inside a country that provides:
courts;
roads;
currency;
infrastructure;
educated workers;
police;
military protection;
consumers;
property law.
Then somehow we decided that company owes absolutely nothing to the nation because shareholder value.
No.
The economy exists for human beings.
Human beings do not exist for the economy.
American Production
I want American manufacturing rebuilt.
Steel.
Pharmaceuticals.
Machine tools.
Semiconductors.
Weapons.
Energy infrastructure.
Ships.
Agriculture.
Strategic resources.
Critical electronics.
If losing access to one hostile foreign state can cripple your entire economy, you are not independent.
You have outsourced sovereignty.
American Workers
I want companies incentivized to train Americans before reflexively importing labor.
If importing workers is always cheaper than developing domestic talent, corporations will choose the cheaper option.
That's what corporations do.
So change the incentives.
Protect strategically important domestic employment.
Punish exploitative outsourcing where appropriate.
Create apprenticeship systems.
Restore dignity to trades.
Make enough things in America that young people can build lives instead of becoming gig-economy serfs delivering burritos to one another.
Energy
Build fucking reactors.
Nuclear energy should form a major part of America's long-term energy strategy.
Use natural gas.
Use oil where necessary.
Develop renewables where practical.
Modern civilization requires enormous reliable energy supplies.
Energy scarcity is not environmental virtue.
It is civilizational weakness.
Abundance matters.
VI. SOCIETY
Government cannot legislate healthy civilization into existence.
Politics matters.
Culture matters more than politicians usually admit.
You can elect the perfect president and still have:
broken homes;
isolated people;
porn addiction;
drug addiction;
dead communities;
resentful sexes;
schools without standards;
churches without faith.
You cannot executive-order people into meaning.
Atomization Is The Deeper Enemy
The political left is not the only thing I oppose.
The deeper enemy is atomization.
A world where everyone belongs to nothing except himself.
No family.
No church.
No neighborhood.
No shared heritage.
No obligation.
Just a consumer with subscriptions.
Dating became shopping.
Sex became content.
Friendship became followers.
Community became Discord servers.
Work became transactions.
Citizenship became benefits.
Religion became aesthetics.
Human beings were told this was liberation.
Then everyone became fucking miserable.
We need durable bonds again.
Faith.
Local community.
Family.
Nation.
Institutions that connect generations instead of treating every individual as an isolated economic unit.
Equality Is Not Sameness
I believe people possess equal worth before God.
I do not believe everyone is the same.
Men and women are not the same.
People do not possess the same intelligence.
The same temperament.
The same strength.
The same ambitions.
The same interests.
The same abilities.
Difference does not equal inferiority.
That sentence should not require courage.
Apparently it does.
A society obsessed with denying differences eventually stops solving real problems because acknowledging reality becomes politically forbidden.
I reject that.
Men
Masculinity is not pathology.
Aggression is not inherently evil.
Dominance is not inherently evil.
Competition is not inherently evil.
Capacity for violence is not inherently evil.
What matters is mastery.
My metaphor is the wolf.
The domesticated dog is ashamed of his nature.
Passive.
Approval-seeking.
Terrified of confrontation.
The wild wolf worships his nature.
Violent.
Impulsive.
Uncontrolled.
The tamed wolf understands what he is capable of and governs it.
That is the man I respect.
Strong without cruelty.
Dangerous without instability.
Protective without tyranny.
Capable of violence but committed to peace.
Able to lead.
Able to listen.
Able to endure being hated.
We have spent decades trying to make men harmless.
I'd rather make them good.
Women
Women do not need to imitate men to possess dignity.
Femininity is not a defect.
Nurturing is not weakness.
Motherhood is not failure.
Emotional attunement is not inferiority.
Neither is intelligence, ambition or independence somehow uniquely male.
My objection is to the notion that liberation requires denying sexual differences.
I believe men and women are complementary.
Not identical.
Not enemies.
Not interchangeable widgets.
I think contemporary feminism began with legitimate grievances and eventually produced factions increasingly hostile to marriage, motherhood, male leadership and sometimes biological reality itself.
That does not mean women should lose legal equality.
It means legal equality never required pretending women and men were psychologically identical.
Pornography And Sex
Porn is not merely people enjoying naked bodies.
At industrial scale it is a substitute for intimacy.
It teaches people to consume human sexuality without responsibility.
It amplifies novelty-seeking.
It trains men and women to compare actual partners against infinite artificial alternatives.
Then we act shocked that relationships feel disposable.
Sex belongs inside something larger than appetite.
Connection.
Trust.
Commitment.
Preferably marriage.
Modern culture took one of the strongest bonding forces human beings possess and turned it into fucking entertainment.
What could possibly go wrong?
Anti-Natalism
I despise ideological anti-natalism.
Choosing personally not to have children is one thing.
Constructing a moral philosophy that treats creating human life as unethical because people consume resources is something else entirely.
Humanity is not a virus.
We are flawed.
Violent.
Greedy.
Stupid.
Capable of unbelievable evil.
We are also capable of:
love;
art;
science;
sacrifice;
faith;
discovery;
redemption.
I refuse to look at humanity's failures and conclude extinction is enlightened.
That is not wisdom.
That is depression wearing glasses.
VII. EDUCATION
Education determines what survives after we die.
That makes it political whether anyone likes it or not.
Every curriculum makes decisions.
What history matters?
Which books?
Which moral values?
Which heroes?
Which failures?
Which interpretation of citizenship?
Neutral education is a myth.
I Want Christian-American Civic Formation
Children should know Christianity's role in Western and American civilization.
They should know Greek philosophy.
Roman law.
The Enlightenment.
The Constitution.
American history.
Slavery.
Civil rights.
Wars.
Failures.
Achievements.
Everything.
But I reject education designed primarily to produce shame.
Children should leave school believing:
this civilization is imperfect, but it is mine, it contains things worth preserving, and I have a duty to improve it.
Not:
“Your ancestors were uniquely evil, your nation is illegitimate, your culture is embarrassing, and citizenship means demanding benefits from something you were taught to despise.”
That is civilizational suicide disguised as education.
Track By Ability
Not every child should follow the same path.
Identify aptitude.
Academic.
Mechanical.
Technical.
Artistic.
Entrepreneurial.
Social.
Build pathways.
Publicly support advanced education where it serves real ability and social need.
Expand trades.
Apprenticeships.
Vocational education.
Stop pretending four-year universities represent the pinnacle of human achievement.
A brilliant machinist has more practical value than a mediocre academic with three degrees explaining why machinists are culturally problematic.
VIII. THE FAMILY
The family is where civilization becomes flesh.
Government can create incentives.
Culture can create expectations.
But families create people.
Every political ideology eventually arrives at the nursery.
What kind of child are you producing?
What does he believe?
What does she expect?
Can they delay gratification?
Can they accept duty?
Can they form stable relationships?
Can they raise the next generation?
If not, your ideology has no future.
Fathers
Fatherlessness is not the explanation for every problem.
It explains enough that ignoring it is insane.
Boys need models of masculinity.
They need men showing them how strength behaves.
How anger is controlled.
How duty works.
How to lose.
How to stand their ground.
How to accept consequences.
Girls benefit from learning that masculine strength can be trustworthy.
That men can protect without dominating.
That men can remain when things become difficult.
A missing father leaves a vacuum.
Something fills it.
Sometimes gangs.
Sometimes porn.
Sometimes online ideology.
Sometimes resentment.
Sometimes nothing except loneliness.
Mothers
Motherhood matters.
I hate that this statement became controversial enough to require explanation.
Women should pursue education.
Business.
Art.
Science.
Politics.
Whatever fits their talents.
But motherhood should not be treated like an unfortunate interruption before a woman returns to her “real” contribution.
Raising children is a real contribution.
A civilization survives because somebody bothers creating and raising the next generation.
Marriage
Marriage is not primarily a mechanism for maximizing permanent emotional excitement.
It is an alliance.
A covenant.
A structure stable enough for two imperfect human beings to build something across decades.
Modern dating culture encourages constant comparison.
Somebody better may be one swipe away.
Somebody hotter.
Richer.
More exciting.
Less complicated.
Eventually you discover something horrifying:
every human being becomes complicated once you know them long enough.
Marriage works because people sometimes choose repair over replacement.
That does not mean enduring abuse.
It means learning the difference between an abusive relationship and a Tuesday when your spouse pissed you off.
Apparently we lost that distinction somewhere.
Birth Rates
Birth rates are political.
A nation that cannot replace itself has already chosen its eventual disappearance.
Housing matters because young families need homes.
Wages matter because children cost money.
Healthcare matters.
Childcare matters.
Marriage stability matters.
Community matters.
If policy makes family formation economically punishing and culture makes parenthood socially undesirable, do not act confused when people stop having children.
You engineered the result.
IX. THE INDIVIDUAL
Finally:
the individual.
Last in the hierarchy.
Not because the individual possesses the least worth.
Because the individual exists inside everything above him.
God gives him value.
A nation gives him inheritance.
Society gives him institutions.
Family gives him formation.
Then he becomes responsible for what he does with it.
You Are Not God
Modern culture desperately needs to hear this.
Your desires do not automatically become rights.
Your identity does not rewrite reality.
Your discomfort does not prove oppression.
Your happiness does not excuse betrayal.
Your autonomy does not erase obligation.
You matter.
You are not the center of the universe.
Welcome to adulthood.
Rights And Responsibilities
I believe in freedom.
Speech.
Religion.
Property.
Self-defense.
Privacy.
Association.
But rights create responsibilities.
Free speech means allowing people you despise to speak.
Gun ownership means handling weapons responsibly.
Property ownership comes with obligations to community and law.
Political rights require civic seriousness.
Freedom is not the absence of standards.
Freedom without self-control becomes addiction.
If your appetites govern you, congratulations:
you escaped external tyranny and installed an internal dictator.
Discipline
I believe people should confront the darker parts of themselves.
Aggression.
Lust.
Pride.
Jealousy.
Bitterness.
Fear.
Do not pretend these impulses disappeared because your culture developed polite vocabulary.
Integrate them.
Master them.
The man who cannot govern himself has no business governing anyone else.
The same applies to women.
Self-government precedes political government.
Approval Is Not Morality
If social rejection terrifies you, society owns your conscience.
Some people will hate you.
Good.
Sometimes that means you are wrong.
Sometimes it means they are.
Figure out which.
But stop treating outrage like revelation.
A value only becomes a principle when maintaining it costs something.
Friends.
Career.
Money.
Status.
Comfort.
If you abandon it the instant the invoice arrives, you never believed it very deeply.
X. WHAT I ACTUALLY WANT
Now strip everything down.
No political-theory vocabulary.
No academic labels.
No euphemisms designed to make me sound more acceptable.
Here is the project.
I want Christianity restored to the center of American civilizational identity without pretending government can manufacture genuine faith.
I want America to remain a recognizable nation, not dissolve into an economic territory populated by mutually hostile groups possessing no common identity.
I want controlled legal immigration and strong assimilation.
I want illegal immigration aggressively stopped.
I want American citizenship treated as membership in an actual political community rather than paperwork attached to residence.
I want domestic manufacturing, energy independence and strategic self-sufficiency.
I want nuclear power expanded.
I want corporations incentivized or compelled where necessary to consider American national interests rather than treating this country like a temporary labor market.
I want American workers trained before businesses automatically search abroad for cheaper replacements.
I want schools teaching Christianity's civilizational role, Western history, American civics, critical thinking and national inheritance without either mythology or ritual self-hatred.
I want education stratified by real aptitude instead of egalitarian fantasy.
I want trades restored to dignity.
I want political participation tied more closely to political competence, although any mechanism doing that must be designed against the obvious danger of becoming a partisan exclusion machine.
I want government substantially more forceful against violent crime.
I support capital punishment for murder and rape under rigorous due process.
I want serious corruption prosecuted even when the guilty are politically powerful.
I want the Second Amendment protected.
I want mental-health intervention focused heavily on suicide, because pretending every firearm death has the same cause is dishonest.
I want family formation treated as national infrastructure.
I want fatherhood restored as a social expectation.
I want motherhood respected.
I want marriage encouraged.
I want more children.
I want pornography and the commodification of human intimacy culturally pushed back against rather than accepted as inevitable progress.
I want men raised to become strong and disciplined instead of passive or feral.
I want women free from the lie that femininity is inferior to imitation masculinity.
I want Christian churches that actually believe Christianity.
And politically?
I want people sharing these convictions to stop behaving like holding power is embarrassing.
Organize.
Campaign.
Vote.
Build institutions.
Take office.
Govern.
Use lawful authority.
And when existing institutions have become too compromised to repair through minor reform, replace them through constitutional means rather than preserving their corpse because somebody might call change authoritarian.
XI. THE HARDEST PART
Here is the part critics will quote.
Probably without context.
I believe order matters more than unlimited autonomy.
I believe civilization matters more than individual appetite.
I believe competence can matter more than formal equality.
I believe some hierarchies are legitimate.
I believe some crimes merit death.
I believe some ideologies are incompatible with the civilization I want to preserve.
I believe Christian moral dominance is preferable to secular moral dominance.
I believe the existing system may become so dysfunctional that a period of unusually concentrated governmental authority becomes necessary to reconstruct it.
I believe collapse may make political changes possible that comfort currently prevents, even though I would vastly prefer avoiding collapse altogether.
I believe politics is conflict, and refusing physical violence does not mean surrendering politically.
And I do not expect people committed to liberal individualism to like any of that.
Why would they?
I am challenging their first principles.
My disagreement with modern liberalism is not about tax brackets.
It is about what society is for.
Liberal modernity increasingly says society exists to maximize the individual's ability to choose his own conception of the good life.
I say civilization exists partly to transmit truths, duties, identity and institutions across generations.
Those visions are not identical.
They cannot be made identical by smiling harder.
XII. WHERE I DRAW THE LINE
Power scares me.
It should.
Anyone proposing radical reform who isn't afraid of political power is exactly the person I do not want possessing it.
I reject vigilantism.
I reject political assassination.
I reject terrorism.
I reject mobs determining guilt.
I reject punishment without trial.
I reject collective guilt.
I reject the idea that every Muslim, immigrant, atheist, liberal or political opponent becomes guilty merely because I despise some ideology associated with them.
Individuals answer for individual conduct.
I reject extermination politics.
I reject racial supremacy.
I reject a hereditary caste state.
I reject forced religious conversion.
And I reject permanent dictatorship.
Not because I suddenly discovered liberalism.
Because unlimited political power eventually consumes whatever justification created it.
The state is not God.
The nation is not God.
I am certainly not fucking God.
Power must answer to something above itself.
That is the entire point of beginning this manifesto where I did.
XIII. THE WORLDVIEW
So what am I?
People will choose whichever label makes the conversation easiest.
Christian nationalist.
Post-liberal.
Reactionary.
Authoritarian.
Populist.
Epistocrat.
Fascist.
Theocrat.
Probably five more invented by the time anyone finishes reading this.
Fine.
Labels can be useful.
They can also become substitutes for thought.
Here is my worldview without the academic masturbation.
Human beings are fallen but redeemable.
That means I reject both utopianism and nihilism.
People are capable of evil.
They are also worth saving.
Truth exists outside popular opinion.
Consensus cannot manufacture reality.
God stands above politics.
Government possesses authority.
It does not possess ultimate authority.
America is a civilization as well as a state.
Its continuity matters.
The nation has obligations to its own citizens before abstract humanity.
That is what nations are for.
Markets are tools.
Capitalism should serve human beings and national flourishing rather than become another religion.
Democracy is a mechanism.
Useful.
Important.
Not infallible.
Political competence matters.
Equality means equal human worth, not identical human capacity.
Difference is real.
Hierarchy can be legitimate.
Men and women are complementary.
Masculinity should be disciplined.
Femininity should be honored.
Neither should be erased.
Family is civilization's primary transmission mechanism.
Fatherhood.
Motherhood.
Marriage.
Children.
These are not private lifestyle trivia.
They determine whether anything survives another generation.
Freedom requires order.
Rights without responsibilities decay into appetite.
Justice requires strength.
Strength without restraint becomes tyranny.
Mercy requires judgment.
Otherwise mercy means nothing.
Politics should replace warfare, not pretend conflict no longer exists.
Ballots instead of bullets.
But still fight for what you believe.
Civilizations can die.
No law of history promises America another century.
If we want one, we have to build it.
XIV. THE GOAL
I do not want to recreate 1955.
History does not move backward.
I want modern medicine.
Modern science.
Modern communications.
Advanced engineering.
Nuclear energy.
Automation.
Artificial intelligence.
Space exploration.
Whatever useful things humanity invents next.
I am not asking humanity to retreat.
I am asking civilization to remember what progress is supposed to serve.
Technology should serve people.
Markets should serve civilization.
Government should serve the nation.
Society should protect families.
Families should form individuals.
Individuals should govern themselves.
And all of it should answer ultimately to God.
That is the hierarchy.
God.
Nation.
Society.
Family.
Individual.
Modernity inverted it.
It placed the individual above family.
Markets above community.
Global abstraction above nation.
Man above God.
Then it created people with access to more information than ancient kings, more entertainment than Roman emperors, more food than most humans in history—
and enough antidepressants, pornography, loneliness and existential dread to medicate an empire.
Maybe more freedom was not the only thing we needed.
Maybe we needed purpose.
Duty.
Belonging.
Boundaries.
Memory.
Faith.
Maybe people do not flourish by being liberated from absolutely everything that once obligated them.
Maybe some chains were actually roots.
I want those roots back.
Not every tradition.
Not every old prejudice.
Not every injustice.
The parts that deserve survival.
Take what was true.
Destroy what was corrupt.
Learn from what failed.
Keep what modernity genuinely improved.
Then rebuild.
Not because the past was perfect.
Because the future deserves something better than a civilization that has forgotten why it exists.
I want my children—and their children—to inherit something recognizable as America.
Not merely the land.
The civilization.
A Christian moral inheritance.
A constitutional order.
A shared national identity.
Factories.
Farms.
Power plants.
Churches.
Families.
Towns.
Institutions worth trusting.
An economy that produces.
A government that can govern.
A citizenry capable of citizenship.
Men capable of restraint.
Women confident in their worth.
Children who believe there is something worth continuing.
That is the project.
That is why I am political.
That is why I am angry.
That is why I refuse nihilism.
That is why I refuse surrender.
I do not want ashes.
I want reconstruction.
I do not want perpetual revolution.
I want order.
I do not want everybody to fear government.
I want criminals to fear justice and government to fear its constitutional limits.
I do not want everybody thinking exactly like me.
I want a civilization confident enough to survive disagreement.
I do not need history to remember me as agreeable.
I'd settle for useful.
And if rebuilding something worth handing down requires being called every ugly fucking word modern politics has available?
Fine.
Words are cheap.
Civilizations aren't.
